Open air photo booth or enclosed? You might not even realise that there are different options in the types of photo booth that you can choose, which can make a huge difference to your entertainment experience with your guests. We get lots of people who approach us looking for a traditional enclosed booth, but we think so many of you are missing out on our open air photo booth experience, so we thought we would write a blog to have a look at the main differences so you can weigh up your options and be better informed about your booth choice!
When planning your wedding, event or party, entertaining your guests will probably be one of your top priorities. Nowadays people are looking for more than just a DJ or a band, and Photo Booths provide an opportunity for you to have fun with your guests and capture the moment at the same time.
What is an Open Air Booth?
An open air photo booth typically comprises of a pod of some description which houses a camera and a screen so you can make sure you and your friends are in the shot together. Then there is usually a background; At the moment we offer black or white backgrounds. Some people opt to have no background and use a feature wall of stone, brick or wallpaper. At MK Booth we also use a professional studio flash system which means the shots are perfectly lit, resulting in bright and vibrant photographs.
Professional, High Quality Images
We use professional Canon SLR cameras and studio flash in our open booth, which means the end results are comparable to what you might get from a studio photo shoot.
Top Tip: Try to avoid booths that use webcams and lighting that doesn’t flash. You will find that the quality of image, and the vibrance is miles away from what can be achieved with a more professional setup.
No Space Limitations
In an open air booth there are much less limitations to the number of people who can fit in the booth. If you have ever been in an enclosed booth you will know that they are great for 2 or 3 people sitting down, but after that you will struggle to fit anyone else in, which makes it difficult for you to fit in all your bridesmaids having fun in the same shot together!
With our open air booth there are almost no limitations (other than the physical space) to the amount of people we can fit into a shot. Whether that is all of your bridesmaids and groomsmen, the whole football/rugby team, or your whole family including grandparents!
Our record is 14 in one shot – We challenge you to beat it!
Whilst closed booth can be a lot of fun, we think the most fun part is being able to see your guests, friends and family dressing up in silly props, and striking crazy poses. Isnt it so much more fun to see your grandma put on the craziest pair on sunglasses and join in the fun! Plus it also leaves the opportunity open for photobombers!
These open booths are huge in the US at the moment, and we are seeing them become more and more popular in the UK! If you are interested in booking our open booth for your wedding, party or event then fill in the Enquiry Form or send us a message on Facebook. We are always more than happy to help!
